Upper Buckna Galloways is a herd of Pedigree Black Galloways owned by Joseph Smyth, Northern Ireland. It is ran on commercial lines on marginal land which rises from 500ft/152.4m to 950ft/289.56m above sea level with the majority of the land above the 700ft/213.36m contour.

The herd used to be mainly out wintered but with European Union rules for heather preservation the herd is mostly wintered in doors.

Surplus heifers are sold for breeding and a few of the males are sold as bulls, some of which in the past have been sold to Scotland, England and Germany.
